Triangle Elementary School ECSE Peer Recruit

Triangle Elementary is currently looking for peer models for our Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Class for SY 2026-2027.

Program Overview:

• Our ECSE Reverse Inclusion preschool classrooms consist of:
  • 6 students with IEPs for a variety of developmental delays
  • 6 typically developing children from the community as peer models
• Students are 2 and 3 years old.

 

Peer Model Requirements:

• Must be 3 by September 30th of the attending school year
• Should have:
  • Developmentally appropriate language
  • Social skills
  • Behavior
  • Impulse control
• Must demonstrate developmentally appropriate toileting skills

 

Selection Process:

• Potential peer models will participate in play groups
• Students will be selected before the first day of school

Program Details:

• No cost for registration or enrollment for the peer model program
• the 2/3 year old classes are half-day of school
• You must be able to provide your own transportation to and from school at the same time each day
