Students in grades 3-5 take annual SOL tests in the state of Virginia. Currently, the following tests are given:

3rd Grade: Reading, Math
4th Grade: Reading, Math, Virginia Studies
5th Grade: Reading, Math, Science

Beginning in the Spring of 2017, students will test using the Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) format for Reading and Math. These tests are shorter and adapt to the students' ability level. In short, how a student responds to a specific question will determine the difficulty of the next test item.
